Rick Randlett
Composer
Rick Randlett was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and has been immersed in music since beginning clarinet lessons at age eight. After hearing the Beatles at eleven, he began playing guitar, and soon joined local bands.
Rick studied music at Keene State College, earning a B Mu.Ed degree, and studying composition with well regarded composer Hubert Bird. Randlett later pursued graduate work in theory and composition at the University of Massachusetts.
After touring with rock bands throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, he began to record and perform as a solo blues rock artist, releasing five albums of original material.
During the Covid shut down, Randlett began experimenting with ambient, new age keyboard compositions, leading to the creation of Orchestra Indigo as a vehicle for this work. Blending atmospheric textures, melodic piano, and layered electronic tones, the music explores reflective and immersive instrumental landscapes. Since then, he has released four Orchestra Indigo albums, receiving glowing reviews, and international airplay
His newest album, “Remembering Fireflies”, will be released on June 12th, 2026.
